Aug 27, 2021 · I searched the forums and didn’t find much, just everything with the word “fuel” or “rail” in it. I’m new to the forum, bought a 95 yj 2.5L with a 5 speed. I’ve got a fuel leak in the rail. Mechanic has said it needs to be replaced if I could find the part. As recommended above, if one is bad, you should replace them all. Drop the tank, and replace all the rubber lines. The FSM doesn't provide any documentation on fuel line routing, connections, etc, and I cannot find a fuel line schematic anywhere. I've got the metal return line capped for now, but it really should be properly connected. Essentially look at your fuel filter. The drain line is on top, carb feed on bottom. Any "over pressure" condition bleeds out through the top and back to the tanks to be cycled again with little or no pressure. Ditch the teed return line. That isn't doing you any good. Now connect it to the vent fitting that vents the rear (tallest) part of the tank so that the fuel is actually circulating back to the tank. When running at idle the pressure jumps to 80 psi, oscillating between 75 and 85. Disconnecting the vacuum line to the regulator has no effect on the pressure.They don't make them anymore. It's a 1990 Wrangler but the block numbers on the 258 say it's from the late 70s. Looks like its been swapped at some point with some nice headers, intake manifold, and carb. The problem though is the fuel lines.Return line at 0psi so that looks clear. Checked temp sensor and ohm readings go down when warm. Map sensor checks OK. Grounds and voltage to the ECM is good. New coil and timing set at 8 BTDC Vacuum lines are all new and confirmed correctly hooked up. When I installed the used kit I used new O2, Coolant sensor, and fuel filter.
