The confusion arises because I believe there is a 37" deck (possibly 05-37SC02) that uses a conventional belt (3 sided) and consequently the pulley configuration changes for the idler and mule on that deck. I have the 05-37SC01 deck and the idlers and the mule drive pulleys are vees. The oldest manual you can download from Toro for the 310-8 is for the 1990 model and it is identical to the 1988 except for the wiring because you should have a 3amp unregulated charging system for the battery and the 1990 has a 15 amp regulated system.Location: Canada. #11.
